- Why can't I enter edit mode?
You can only enter edit mode on maps that you are an owner of. So, either clone the map (you will be an owner of the clone), or ask the owner of the current map to add you as an owner (note that, in that case, you may need to re-connect to the server after you are added as an owner, so your ownership status is refreshed).
- Why can't I copy&paste or use heightmaps?
Some commands can't be used in multiplayer edit mode - these include copy&paste and heightmap editing. For this, you need to be the only person editing the map.
To do so, select 'Request private edit mode' in the menu, when connected to a server (and when no one else is currently there). Once in private edit mode, you can use copy&paste, heightmaps, and so forth.
- How can I make a map larger?
Do /mapenlarge (that is, press / to start typing a command in the client, and write that command, then press enter).
- How can I remove all entities from a map?
/clearallents
will remove all static entities (lights, mapmodels, etc. etc.) but will not affect players and bots. It will also not affect the world geometry.
